Air mass sensor

Any car power of engine can be easily improved with intakes, exhausts that are free flowing in nature, intercoolers as well as turbochargers. These mechanisms in turn help an engine in effectively increasing airflow amount. This increase of airflow is very easily detected through air mass sensor. This sensor after this, picks-up with the airflow. With this picking-up of airflow by air mass sensor, few changes in car’s engine occur. Firstly, ECU operates in ignition as well as fuel area, where it normally does not operate. This in turn gives a fuel mixture that is rich in nature. This way even power gains decrease to some degrees.

Air mass sensor is used to get a car’s air mass flow rate. This sensor gets information about this flow rate from air that enters an engine of internal combustion, which is fuel injected. This information is excessively necessary for ECU as it gets it information on entering airs mass. Density of air keeps fluctuating due to constant contraction as well as expansion with respect to its pressure as well as temperature. This especially happens in automobiles, due to ambient altitude, forced induction as well as temperature. All these sensors are of two types. First, one of them is hot wire and other is vane meter. Neither one of them measures mass of air directly. These both sensors contain in them “intake air temperature” with which they compare air that is present in their surroundings. With these sensors, one can also easily use additional inputs as well as sensors for better results.
